"You guys go on these dates," Arthur said, flinging his hands in the air, voice nearing a yell. "You find one another after nearly every race to feel grounded. You guys look at one another like your souls are intertwined. Don't even getting me started on the way you race one another. What the hell are you guys doing? What are you waiting for? Why aren't you guys together?"
"I..." Max had nothing to say.
"You know," Max couldn't even bring himself to look Arthur in the eyes. “There was a time when I thought you two were destined for one another and nothing and no one, not even the biased FIA could tear you away from the path of being together. But now I look at you both, and all I see is two scared twenty-six year olds who are going to be devasted because they were too pussy to admit that they were in love."
"I am in love!" Max shouted back in defense.

Max remembers the first time Charles kissed him. He remembers the taste of cigarettes on his tongue, the way Charles’ stubble rubbed against his chin, how Max’s skin felt like it was on fire everywhere Charles touched. When they had started, whatever this was, he knew then that he was absolutely screwed. Because Charles has a girlfriend, Charles is never going to choose Max.

Charles waves at him dismissively as he begins texting, and Max lays his head down on the coffee table and prays for strength.

In which Max tries to prove to an oblivious Charles how glaringly obvious it is that Lando is head over heels in love with Oscar. When Charles finally gets with the program, Lestappen go on A Mission™ to get the two idiots to admit their feelings for each-other, but it’s easier said than done.
