Summary
Seonghwa and Hongjoong have been mates for three years. They love each other so much and for the past two years they've tried for pups but with no success. All around them their friends have started successful families and Hongjoong is starting to think it's hopeless for them. At this rate, they've tried everything and been to every fertility clinic in Seoul and tried almost every remedy for whatever fertility issue this is.
One morning Hongjoong wakes up bleeding, Seonghwa takes him to the hospital and the doctors inform them that Joong has miscarried. Hongjoong didn't even know he was pregnant. Devastated at the news Hongjoong doesn't want to try for pups again and keeps saying he's useless. He managed to get pregnant only to lose the pup. Hongjoong starts to become distant and silent. Their relationship seems to be falling apart. They argue often and the arguments end with Seonghwa leaving and Hongjoong in tears. Until one day they have angry sex and Hongjoong gets pregnant again. Scared Hongjoong doesn't tell Seonghwa about the pregnancy until he knows that everything will be ok. "Arg!"
Squeals and giggles of two children echoed through the ship. The pitter patter of their feet heard against wooden planks and heavier thumps of Hongjoong's boots following after them. He 'chased' the toddlers up from the cabins and on to the deck where he captured Heejin in his grasp.
"No!" Felix squealed, attacking Hongjoong's leg to free his best friend from this pirate's grasp! Heejin couldn't stop giggling as she squirmed around trying to free herself. Both sets of red hair rustling in the salty sea breeze grazed over the Aurora.
"Yer mine!" He let out an 'evil' laugh, wrapping Heejin up in the confinements of his fur coat. The very coat Heejin loved to snuggle up in whenever she could. "Ye can't defeat me! I'm be the Pirate King!" He cackled dodging Felix's attacks. The small boy swinging the best hits he could at Hongjoong's legs with the biggest smile pushing at his chubby freckled cheeks. The children loved playtime more than anything, and with so many uncles to accompany the parents the two never had a boring day.

Summary

Summary
“Seonghwa,” Hongjoong finally says, and the older man immediately sits straighter, his shoulders squared and breath held so tightly, like he’s afraid of making a noise.
“Y-yes?”
Hongjoong speaks more apologetically than he intended to, “I can’t do it.”
Seonghwa’s breath is released with the drop of his shoulders, his eyebrows furrowed in sudden discontent as though the letdown is the worst thing he’s ever heard in his entire life. “Why?” The word catches onto some desperation, and Hongjoong has to swallow the lump in his throat to give him an honest answer.
"I’m not rejecting you. I just can’t take you until you’re ready. But you’ll do your research, won’t you? If you really want to help me, then this is how you can help,” Hongjoong finalizes, and then he leaves Seonghwa to his own thoughts as he steps out his seat and disappears out the door.
