Apocalypse: Star Rail might be the worst game Dr. Veritas Ratio has ever played. In what world is murdering half the known universe for no reason even remotely reasonable? What kind of game kills off its most compelling characters just for shock value?

Also, why is he now in the game — and as a damn NPC, out of all things?

【 Activation Code: “Moronic developers, moronic game.” It is our sincere wish that during your time, you can fulfill your desires and, in accordance with your wish, transform a piece of moronic work into a magnificent, high-quality, first-rate classic. Bound Role: Unnamed male NPC of the Veritas Prime star system, age 0. 】

【 Congratulations! Welcome to Apocalypse: Star Rail, version ██! 】

Well. If these idiot developers can’t take constructive criticism, Veritas might as well construct the criticism himself… by forcibly inserting himself into a plot where he’s never existed.

An Aeon's death is not completely unheard off.
But when the Trailblaze and their shining light dimmed and eventually died, the Elation was hit harder than they would have liked.
Elation and mourning are different sides of the same coin, aren't they?

Here the aeon was, thinking that the universes greatest joy will never appear again. But it seems like fate, and mortal ambitions, had something else in mind.

    Summary

Phainon believes they're destined to be together, his friends were just too blind to see that Professor Anaxa clearly reciprocated his feelings.

Silence fell. A bird chirped. Somewhere in the distance, a lawnmower droned—a metaphor, possibly, for Mydei’s will to live.

“Look,” Castorice said at last—voice kind, but laced with the bone-deep weariness of someone who’d been here far too many times—“I’m not trying to crush your quest for true love or whatever, but please. Either confess or let it go. You can’t keep spiraling over fractions of seconds.”

Phainon’s grin widened, radiant and unbothered. “But the fractions are getting longer. That means something.”

“So would medication,” Mydei muttered, barely audible over the sound of his own mental collapse.

But Phainon simply leaned back onto the grass, utterly unbothered, clutching his notebook to his chest like sacred scripture. He stared up at the sky with the sigh of a man caught in a tragic ballad, already rehearsing his next completely unnecessary excuse to show up during office hours.

“It’s fine,” he thought. “He’ll realize it soon. Love like this doesn’t go unnoticed forever.”

    Summary

    [Inspired by MXTX's SVSS!!]

Anaxagoras the Foolish, the Blasphemer, the Great Performer. The infamous Nousporist Sage of the Grove of Epiphany couldn't care less about what others called him, frankly. But one day, when a youthful voice greeted him: "Professor Anaxa!" for the first time, he felt unexpectedly pulled to the voice of Phainon of Aedes Elysiae.

    An aria amidst the noise.

But Anaxagoras was a good teacher first and foremost, and it would be wise to first correct his student on his name - and then perhaps address that wayward nature of his that incessantly sought after his attention, his advice ... and his heart.

    Summary

With wheezing breaths, Anaxa panted--splayed on the floor with limbs too numb to support his own weight and lungs on utter fire. He thought he was suffocating under the intense bright lights of a bustling dance studio, his own body no longer his. Every muscle hurt, every fiber of his being was fighting to not immediately perish the moment his eyelids closed.

Anaxagoras was, fully and completely, regretting his decision to work this temporary job--because somehow, he ended up being a contestant on the ever so popular idol survival show Project IdolZ.

or: anaxa sang and danced against his will
