Summary
“Now, since their natural form had been cut in two, each one longed for its own other half, and so they would throw their arms about each other, weaving themselves together, wanting to grow together.”
Human beings were not in the form as they are in the present—they had four arms, four legs, two sets of sexual organs, and two faces that are identical to each other. They were powerful to an extent that they were feared by the gods, so Zeus came up with the idea of splitting them in half.
One became two, and each will forever seek for the presence of the other. Each distance in between meant agony and pain.
Eons later, this would be called soulmates.

Summary
What do you do when your lover dies and you don't ever quite get over it so you decide to live until you're twenty-five, because that's when he said he would marry you. And on the day he turns twenty-five, you are dressed in the tux from his 'wedding scrapbook'. You place the band on your ring finger yourself, standing on his grave you say your vows to the wind and burn his wedding band. Along with yourself.
Kim Mingyu wouldn't know. He really would not.

Summary
Minghao thinks he’s recovering, self loathing reaching an all time low compared to the past few months. He still wakes up every morning with the same sense of emptiness, the ache in chest he carries throughout the day, yet it’s muted, like Minghao has come to accept like an old friend, accepting that it may very well never leave him; the feeling of being strangely unwhole.
The breakdown of Minghao’s brain goes something like: 10% song lyrics, 20% ?????, 20% visions of paintings, and 50% Kim Mingyu. He is very much not over the breakup, another fact he’s come to accept, along with the fact that he will never be over the breakup.

Summary
(“Okay— fine, but—” Mingyu stutters, then finally gives up on finesse and just snaps, “my cookies are fabulous. Do not. Question it.”
“I’m sure they are,” Minghao says. “It’s just that mine are better.”
“I have ninety-four percent customer satisfaction,” Mingyu hisses. “Ninety-four percent.”
Minghao scoffs. “That’s probably just because you’re hot.” Wait. What?)
[Minghao's a pastry chef at the Mix Unit, and he's got three things to tell you: (1) it's a nice place, with the exception of Kim Mingyu, who's a fucking asshole; (2) Minghao's not attracted to Mingyu whatsoever, despite what Jun might have to say, and (3) Jisoo suffers a whole lot and deserves a fucking break.]
