“Kevin?” She chocked on a sob. “Is that you?”
“Mam?” Kevin let out.
All of a sudden Kevin was wrapped up in his mother’s arms. It was like no time had passed, like he was 10 again and she was never gone.
“Mam what happened?” Kevin asked “I went to your funeral. I saw them lower your body into the ground. You died. How are you still alive?”

Summary
Au where Elodie Moreau escapes Algiers and in her desperation to get back to Jean Moreau, she sells her services as a spy for Stuart Hatford. Hatford wants Elodie to get as much information on the Moriyama family as possible. Elodie sees Jean for the first time again.
