Stan and Kyle had been friends for what felt like forever. Throughout all these years, they stuck together, no matter what hardships they faced.
At least, before senior year hit. Now all Stan feels around Kyle is anxious, nervous energy that he can't seem to shake. But he does have a sneaking suspicion why he feels that way, even though he wouldn't dare delve into it. He didn't want to think about that possibility, the feelings he's had since he was a kid, or what Kyle would say to him if he knew.
As for Kyle, he's completely consumed by his academics to be concerned with personal relationships. It's like his mom always tells him - get into a good college, get a good job, have a good family. With high school coming to a close, he's never had to work harder than he is now. And he only hopes it doesn't become too much for him.
