Summary
Dick Grayson has finally escaped Gotham.
He has a new job, a new lab, and a normal civilian identity. Everything is going perfectly.
Except his graduate student is Spider-Man.
And then another Spider-Man shows up.
And then a Ghost-Spider.
And then Gotham starts calling.
Somehow, Dick Grayson has once again found himself surrounded by vigilantes, supervillains, and people who refuse to listen when he tells them to stop getting hurt.
At least the chemistry is good.
____Alternatively: Professor Grayson accidentally starts a superhero support group.

Twenty years ago, Dick attended his first gala; a glorious, glittering affair that left his eight-year-old self wide-eyed and slack-jawed. Becoming a permanent fixture of Gotham Society was certainly an adjustment, especially for a circus kid whose performer’s smile was brittle with grief. But Dick was nothing if not a survivor. He soon learned that he could dazzle his audience with a smile and a quick quip just as well as he could with a trapeze.
And, sure, Bruce had always told him to be careful. To keep a watchful eye on his drink, and not to stray too far from Bruce’s side. But Bruce was overprotective, and Dick wasn’t a kid anymore. He didn’t need to fear Gotham’s elite because there was nothing to fear.
Besides, they were his friends…

Summary
Dick didn't particularly care about his presence at first, until it became evident the Batman was becoming a nuisance. It's not like the guy was evil, no, Dick's problem with him is the fact that more and more people are getting hurt as casualties of whatever war the Batman's waged with Gotham's rogues.
Or: Dick Grayson is an EMT. He hates the Batman.
