Summary
When the forces of evil threaten to destroy the peace of Eternia, a noble warrior rises to reign and guide the people. The unexpected warmth and care of new friendships, along with the acceptance that some things cannot be changed without help, make Snape see himself differently. Maybe not everything is immutable. Maybe his fate is not set in stone. Maybe life is worth living in each of its small moments. Snape has changed on the outside, but he realizes that perhaps this is the first step toward changing within. In the mirror, Severus finds a reflection he does not despise as much as before. With each small change, a flicker of confidence awakens—a spark he never dared to claim. And all of it shows him that there are still many things he would like to experience.
He will not say the reason aloud—perhaps not even to himself—but there is a name lingering in the air, a name that makes every adjustment, every attempt, a silent promise that if he could just be a little better, he might be worthy of being seen. He might be worthy of being loved.
