Summary
Isn't it interesting, in Chen Mui's story about Xia and Eltrio, this is what was said:
“The child’s memory would be sealed away, and he would be banished from the Sanctuary forever. Needless to say, by this time Chen Mui had changed his mind.”
Now, add this with the fact it took "Several Years" for them to come to a decision, and bam, we get a story! Mine is told with a Female Hero.
(Because ultimately, it took time for Chen Mui to love his granddaughter)

Summary
"Are you a ghost or something?” He sounds way too excited about that, but that's not surprising. They smile at him. Their cheeks ache. Their eyes burn. They can still feel their skull cracking open, if they focus hard enough.
“Yeah, I guess!” Smiling, smiling, smiling. The curve of their cheeks fills their voice with something false. “Or, wait, maybe I’m closer to a zombie, actually? Since I have a body, and all.”
“Do you poop, then?”
“Not sure? I mean, this dying thing is pretty new. I haven’t tested it out yet.”
He nods, sagely. “It’s a mystery, then. Hey, do you want to join my crew?”
Smiling, smiling, smiling. His eyes are dark as they track the shape of it. They wonder if he can see the way it trembles. “Shouldn’t you introduce yourself first? Kinda rude to just up and proposition a stranger like that.”
They already know what he’s going to say.
They’ve known what he was going to say since they woke up and saw the hat.
(That doesn’t mean that it hurts any less to hear. That doesn’t make it any less beautiful.)
“I’m Monkey D. Luffy, and I’m gonna be King of the Pirates!”

Summary
I've always be a rather grounded person. Prone to overthinking things or getting lost in my stories, perhaps, but still decently in touch with reality.
Giant Sea Goddesses rising up out of the Ocean to interrupt my vacation, drown me with more vigour than I think was really called for, changing my species, and then dumping me into one of the AU worlds I slapped together on a whim was not the sort of situation I ever really considered planning for.
... At least I've got a natural anti-pervert defence now.
(Or: Someone very similar to the Author gets metaphysically shanghaied into the body of a One Piece mermaid, is immediately rescued by two different versions of her favourite character, and promptly decides to enjoy the insanity. Because she's neurotoxic now and that's neat.)

Summary
Never in your dreams would you have ever imagined yourself being a part of the Whitebeard Pirates, sailing in the New World, and finally meeting Portgas D. Ace whose death in the manga made you cry for days on end. (And you still remember how Luffy's heart broke, how his family cried and put a tomb for both him and his father in the New World after the Paramount War. You walk on the same ship as those who you've seen through a looking-glass mourning for their dead brother.)
Yet you're here on a pirate ship, as a pirate, and people aren't dead.
Now you've met Ace, who, if you don't start resuscitating him now, will have a tombstone that reads "died from inhaling soup."

Summary
“Congratulations, Rouge!” a distant voice cried out.
“It's a healthy baby boy!”
There was a sound of sobbing coming from somewhere in the room, but no one was crying. ‘Where am I?’
“Ace,” a soft voice reached out.
'Ace' looked up in confusion only to see large brown eyes seeming to nearly shine in his direction.
“Gol D. Ace, my beautiful baby boy.” Suddenly the crying stopped.
‘…What’
