Summary
Shen Qingqiu receives a letter after not hearing anything from his husband for three days after he was supposed to be back from his demonic affairs, and he was definitely NOT worried, nor concerned in the least. Or maybe just a bit? Shen Qingqiu has the right to be worried after all, can't he? Is not likely for his husband not to let him know if his affairs got drawn out.
But! Shen Qingqiu wouldn't dwell on it much, not at all! his Binghe's protagonist halo is stronger than anything else and nothing in this world could ever dream to stand a chance against his sweet little disciple. Presumably a little darkened.However... When Shen Qingqiu opened the letter, the world suddenly stilled around him, and his stomach dropped so heavily he almost feared he'll pass out, that is if he had any thought left to spare for it, he could barely register anything but the words written in obvious crimson going slightly blurry before hid eyes...
It is obviously a trap, Shen Qingqiu knows that, or atleast would have if it were any other circumstances that didn't require him acting impulsive and on sudden instinct, mind unfocused yet sharp as he grabbed Xiu Ya and draped his winter cloak on himself before he took off.

Hong Hua’s attention settled immediately on Xie Lian, eyes lingering with a subtle admiration, before quickly diverting to Lang Qianqiu.
“Your Highness,” he greeted, stepping forward and bowing with practiced precision, “I hadn’t expected the honor of your presence today.”
Lang Qianqiu smiled, clearly in high spirits. “We came at the State Preceptor’s suggestion. He thought it best that I observe and demonstrate my current understanding.”
Hong Hua inclined his head again. “Then it is our good fortune to be under the State Preceptor’s guidance today.” His attention settled once more on Xie Lian, a faint warmth touching his expression.
“Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Hong Hua.” He bowed his head, measured but sincere. “I have long heard of the State Preceptor’s skill. If I may be permitted, I would be honored to witness it for myself.”
OR: Hua Cheng finds Xie Lian three hundred years earlier, during his time as Fangxin Guoshi in Yong'an. After Bing-ge's fight with his weaker version and a Shizun that was the polar opposite of his scum Shizun. Binghe returns to his own universe. But he can't get it off his mind. Was he really so pathetic as to want the very man that humiliated him? Probably not. He just wanted to play with and discard him once he's grown tired... right?... right?!
