It's a missing scene that takes place at the very beginning of the story, just after Charlotte announces to the Parkers that she's leaving for America. We're a few weeks after the awful ending of episode 8.

The sequel to “La tante est morte”, beginning in 1939, two years after Sidney and Charlotte’s marriage.
Sidney and Charlotte, both now working as police officers, navigate married life together, against the backdrop of the Second World War. When Sidney is called up to join the war effort, Charlotte's resilience and loyalty is put to the test.
This is quite a different story to the last one, with a reduced cast of characters. It's set in wartime, so naturally there is quite a bit of angst and sadness. But also hope.
There is also a brief appearance by a character called Alex Colhurst. But this is a Sidlotte story. So if you're a born-again Heybourner, I suggest you don't read it (Remember - it's only fiction!)Series

Summary
Charlotte Heywood is on her way to sell her late boyfriend's campervan across the Channel when she hits a bump in the road, the bump being Sidney, who is already in a foul mood after Tom has ruined his life. It is already a hot day and things get even more heated, especially after they run into Sidney's half-sister who reveals to Charlotte who Sidney really is and gets into trouble with Charlotte. Just as they've warmed up to each other, Sidney's ex shows up with an important message.

Summary
Last year FinestSeaside posted a painting on Twitter and called for it to be used as an inspiration point for a fic where Sidney returns to Sanditon only to find Charlotte married. I bit and wrote my first tweet fic. It was an incredibly enjoyable challenge and Seaside curated and created a whole series of gifs to go along with each tweet of the story. A remaining bit of Sidlotte Twitter Magic.
Well friends, for better or worse, I deactivated my twitter account the other day and only afterwards realized that lovely thread would be gone. I'm dropping the story text here for posterity and pouring out a bit of my drink for the goodness that used to exist in our corner of twitter.
