Summary
It's been a while since Sunny moved away from Faraway Town, and he can't stop the events of that Last Day replaying in his head, over and over, and as a result is finding it difficult to forgive himself and move on and make use of the new start his mother tries to provide for herself and Sunny.
Despite the efforts his friends put in to reconnect with him, and attempt to reassure him that they don't hate him, he doesn't believe them. And a certain old friend isn't exactly helping the situation either.After all, what use is someone else's forgiveness if you can't forgive yourself, right?

Summary
Four Years ago, Sunny cut Mari's clock short. And he still hadn't forgiven himself about it. But even before her death, Sunny suffered. The recital was brutal. It started out well enough, but his ineptitude only angered Mari. Corrections turned into screams. Screams turned into yelling. Yelling turned into shoving, and shoving turned into worse. Scratching, punching, insulting. Sunny endured though it all for Mari. If she was being this cruel, it had to be for something. He was being a bad brother. A bad person. And it was Mari's job to punish him for it. To try and fix him.
But after Four Years, Sunny finally leaves the house again, being forced to see the consequences of his actions. He expects the world to hate him for what he did, but instead...
TL:DR: Mari is abusive to Sunny, and he lets it happen because he loved her too much.
