Sharp-edged, logic-wrapped, and once upon a time, they might have meant something.A part of his mind, the reasonable part, still tried to recite them like gospel—bad idea, power play, terrible precedent, Alastor is an unstable manipulative sadist who eats sinners and hosts game shows for fun—but that voice had long since drowned beneath the litany of low, strangled, utterly unholy noises spilling from Alastor's mouth.
Lucifer was buried inside him, thrusting slow and deep, and Alastor, for once, wasn’t talking. He was moaning.So long, reason. Goodbye, pride.
