Summary
It starts with a searing pain in Aki's right forearm.
He doesn't get a chance to react. Before he can blink, Denji's pulled the Werewolf Devil off him and is running it through with his chainsaws. His manic laughter fills the air as Aki stares blankly down at the ragged, bleeding bite, barely registering the pain beyond the sinking sensation of dread. Later, he will wonder if Denji realizes the implications of what just happened. Right now, he can barely process it himself.
With a single bite, Aki's life falls apart.

Or; Aki is scheduled for execution after being bitten by the Werewolf Devil. No one but Aki is okay with this.

“You need to stop letting the wolf out of the basement.”
Denji squints up at Aki like he’s stupid. “You mean you?”
“That thing is not me,” Aki snaps. “It’s a remnant of the Werewolf Devil using my body. You’re putting yourselves in danger by fooling yourselves like this.”
“Yeah, whatever.” Denji looks Aki directly in the eyes as he crosses his arms and declares, “I like you more as a dog.”
