Summary
This doesn't follow canon events. Henry isn't Vecna, the upside down was a Hawkins Lab experiment gone wrong and the victims of the lab are being compensated. But during the summer of 2012 Mike constantly ditched the party and Will to hang out with Jane. Will brought that up during the rain scene and Mike said so very unsavory things. Will he apologize? Will he ever figure it out? Or will Will leave again? Guess we'll find out cause idk either.

Mike’s long hair clung to his forehead, soaked from the rain and lending a much darker look to his face as a lightning sliced through the sky, illuminating the pitch-black forest for a split second. The sudden flash revealed the harsh contrast between them — Will’s scared expression and Mike’s predatory gaze.
"But run, Will, since you love being out here so much. Use those legs of yours to run as fast as you can. 'Cause I’m gonna catch you." Mike slowly ran his tongue over his front teeth, a dark, wicked smile pulling at his lips. "I'll fucking catch you."
