    He calls Sam baby under the safety of the night, and Sam presses in closer with a sleepy-kitten sound and whispers, “Okay, mommy.” as the tip of his nose trails a line down the side of Dean’s throat. Sam falls asleep soon after that. Dean doesn’t.

It was just one more unpleasant thing about Crowley to add to the pile, and Sam didn't know what it said about him that he'd never thought to use it to his advantage.
