Summary
Megumi had learned the importance of silence at a young age. He remembered his father whispering at him to be silent when he was three, crying on his father’s shoulder as the F.W.S.O. had stormed their house and took his little sister away, screaming that she had the mark of the devil placed upon her.
Megumi learned it when he was four and his Mother and Father had left him in the house for the first time alone. They had taken their two youngest, the twins, but they had left Megumi alone to fend for himself. He cried and cried for the first day, screaming and sobbing for them to come back, but they didn’t. He hoped if he cried long enough, then one of them would hear him and rush back to help him.
They didn’t.
And all his screaming and crying had done was leave the child thirsty with a dry throat.
Megumi had known his entire life that his purpose in the world was to be nothing but an object for others to use. That is, until he met him.
