Summary
Swordsman's stomach gave him a shameless sign that he was interested in the content of the pot, so he approached it. He took a slightly rusty ladle and stirred in a pot a few times before blowing at it and tasting the food. Zoro was amazed. He did not expect to eat something this delicious from a random campfire. The meat was tender, and the stew was a little salty and rich in flavor. He was eating another ladle worth of the dish when he heard water splashing and someone speaking behind him.
"You know it is rude to steal someone's dinner?" Zoro burned his tongue when hearing it. He turned around with a hand, ready to reach Wado. He was prepared to fight, but what he saw made him pause in place.
In front of him was a gorgeous blond man with long hair and beautiful blue eyes that were glowing in the dark. He was wearing necklaces made of pearls, beads, and seashells, a loose tie, and a half-unbuttoned shirt showing his well-defined abs. The swordsman was so distracted at first that he almost didn't notice that below, instead of legs, were octopus-like tentacles. He was confused and had no idea what to say until he heard the blond speak again.

From the moment Sanji dives into the waters of Arlong Park, fights a fishman underwater, and wins- Zoro has questions.
Ideally, Zoro would stay out of the Cooks business. In fact, Zoro would prefer to stay out of the Cook’s breathing space in general. However, Zoro also takes his job as First Mate seriously. So when questions become active concerns he finds himself wading into a secret deeper than he can fathom.

Zoros first order of business had to be determining who was in the cell with him and if they were an enemy.
Walking over and kneeling to the man, Zoro took in his condition. The blond was laid out on his back, head leaned off to the side and his limbs slightly askew. He wore black dress slacks, dress shoes, and a lightweight linen button up.
His long, blond hair was pulled back to a knot at the base of his neck, while loose strands draped softly across his face. The blond had sharp features, a neatly trimmed goatee, and delicate eyebrows that curled into swirls at the ends.
“Curly?” He muttered to himself, “weird.”

“Is that land?” Usopp blurts out.
“Can’t be,” Nami corrects, “There aren’t any islands anywhere near here.”
The fog gives way enough for bright red lettering to be legible behind a fuzzy haze of fog, and Usopp squints as he reads it aloud, “what’s a… Ba-rah-tieh?”
The rest of the familiar vessel appears as they sail closer. The silhouette of her dark wooden hull coming into shape, the yellow glow of her windows cutting through the fog and her lighthouse illuminating the surrounding waves.
Zoro’s heart clenches in his chest. The stark contrast between longing to arrive and suddenly being deposited on the Baratie’s deck without warning is jarring. A viscous mix of excitement and horror turns in his chest and lodges in his throat like tar.
How long had he been away this time?

“Zoro-,” Sanji prompts, sliding a full plate of eggs and two ham steaks onto the island counter. There’s a drizzle of demi glace across the fluffy scramble, while the golden sear on the steaks is still sizzling.
The swordsman tilts his head back from the table, a sleepy grin on his features as he thumbs towards Nami’s plate, “You won’t deliver it?”
“Get it yourself, Moss,” Sanji retorts, wiping the excess crumbs from his skillet in preparation for the next meal.
Zoro pins him with a petulant scowl, “but I thought you loved me?”
Sanji nearly flips the whole skillet, his thumb barely keeping the handle from upending as he jolts. “I- what?”
“Last night,” Zoro grins, pillowing his fist in his cheek, “when you were drunk off your ass. You said you loved me.”
Nami cuts a delighted gasp off with her own palm. There’s an aborted cough from Jinbei.
