The brilliant absurdity of that detail sparked wild fantasies in me about their family tableau, and the first episode was born almost as a joke.

Summary
The experience in Caerdicca Unitas has changed Imriel, but it has only partially removed the tension from his relationship with Phèdre. The story is narrated from Phèdre's point of view, although it is set in the Imriel's trilogy, specifically after Kushiel's Scion, but unaware of the ending where Imriel decides to read his mother's letters.

Writing techniques, characters and even turns of phrase are intentionally crafted to be as faithful as possible to Jacqueline Carey’s work, but the scenario is entirely invented and parodied.
The semi-serious tone of the stories is in no way meant to ridicule this work, which I deeply love... including for the subtle irony it often mischievously suggests.- Words:

Summary
Sufficed to say, I was more than a little disappointed that Jacqueline Carey didn’t give Melisande the chance to make good on her promise to imprison Phèdre in Kushiel’s Chosen and bend her to her will. So I’m making do with my own musings on how this could have gone.
I am starting off in the middle of chapter 45, right before Joscelin attempts to spring Phèdre out of the secret prison at La Dolorosa. In this alternative universe, Joscelin and Ti-Phillipe delay this plan by one day, allowing time for Phèdre to be escorted to The Little Court first.
This is a work in progress, and while I do have an outline for the whole plot, I am nowhere near finished yet. Phèdre and Melisande are phenomenally written characters and Kushiel’s Legacy is an all-time favorite of mine, so I am a tad intimidated at the prospect of representing them faithfully, but I hope I do them a modicum of justice.

The best fanfiction I have ever read, not just in this fandom, but in general. The writing is extraordinary, immersive, and visual in its impeccable rendering of the scenes. Beyond all that, it is perfectly faithful to the original work; in fact, in my opinion, it almost surpasses it, both for the dynamics of the story and for the masterful portrayal of the characters, who are explored so viscerally and extensively without a single flaw or repetition. Not even Jacqueline Carey gave us such an exposition of Mélisande! This fanfiction is so damn perfect it makes me feel ashamed of the ones I’ve written myself XD.

“You giggle when you cum” Caitlyn could hear Vi’s whispers echo through her mind, while she held on to her fantasy like a life line.
Caitlyn nuzzled her nose into Vi's neck, while giggling as she answered “I do? Never heard that one before”Vi grinned “Does that mean I’m the first to make you cum?”
Caitlyn didn't have any trouble envisioning Vi’s smug grin, and the pride that would - undoubtedly - drip from her words.
Before she could respond to that bold statement, Caitlyn was pulled back to reality.
Forced to realize that she was tangled up with a poor replacement for the woman she so desperately yearned for.
“That’s enough” Caitlyn immediately stated in a firm tone, before she pushed Maddie back rather forcefully. “This was a mistake"
Maddie's adoring gaze met a cold, hardened cerulean one.
“Does that mistake have anything to do with you finally allowing me to return the favour?" Maddie asked.
A deafening silence followed before Maddie spoke up again.
"Or was the mistake that you called me ‘Vi’ the entire time?”
