Alina blinks, surprised. She’s conflicted; she doesn’t want the night to end — she had enjoyed getting to know Aleksander more than she could have expected — but it was getting late and it would be difficult to get home if she missed the last train.
Seeing her indecision, Aleksander takes a step forward and promises he’ll drive her home at the end of the night. “One drink, Alina,” he persuades.
Thinking about it for a moment, deciding quickly, Alina interlaces her fingers through Aleksander’s, beaming at him, brighter than the sun. “Lead the way then,” She says, leaning into him. “Where were you thinking?”
He squeezes her hand, “I know just the place.”
