Voyager knows very well that she's perhaps too distant from anything earthly to comfort her friend, but they do have something in common. That thin, wavering line the girl stood upon when she first saw her, so high above the ground—it almost looked like she was suspended in space with the stars painted on the ceiling. Nothing was more beautiful than that moment.
(Voyager has much to learn about earth and the creatures that inhabit it—she must show Kiperina what she knows. How lucky that she is such a wonderful friend to a stranger like her?)

Believe me, if I had a choice I'd be running off to anyone else before bothering your delicate mood again.” His hands get shoved back into his hoodie. “So help me, please. Get me started and I'll leave you the hell alone.”(Naib hunts down the person meant to ease his transition into his best chance at staying in college—it's a tough crowd.)

She looks down at the thin and strong vine twisted around her foot, then her head snaps up when the white shape of something in the darkness ahead of her catches her eye. The vine tugs forward slightly, pulling her just a centimetre closer to the figure, and Tracy is hit with the terrifying feeling that she might just die. She can already see tomorrow’s headlines printed in bold: LOCAL FAIRY FOUND DEAD IN DITCH, SHOULD HAVE DANCED AT LAKE INSTEAD. POOR BITCH.
For the third time that morning, Tracy breathes out, “Oh, shit.”
The vine tugs at her again.
Tracy awakens a bride from her slumber.
