Summary
Driver learned how to disappear. Ryland never stopped looking for him. Years later, an unexpected reunion forces them to confront the past, the lives they built apart, and what still exists between them.
Told across several years, the story follows Driver, also known as Casey, as he deals with the consequences of violence and survival, and Ryland Grace, who has spent years trying to move forward after losing the person who mattered most. When they find each other again, grief, guilt, comfort, and longing begin to pull them toward a future neither of them expected.

Rocky shakes his head. “Quite the opposite, sweetheart. I find you incredible,” and the praise is enough to make Grace feel like he’s humping Rocky’s shirt like he did back then, shooting straight through his carapace.
“Th-Then… Then will Rocky do what he said he’ll do to me?”
Rocky smiles then, that same old smile that showed his sharp teeth, and mean eyes. “Only if you want me to, sweetheart. But be careful, because I’m going to do all those things I said to you, and I mean all of it.”
Grace shivers.Or, Eridian Grace is having the urge to mate and he finds it disgusting. Rocky is there to make him realize it's not.

“He had a sharp nose and head with full, healthy hair, and was dressed in a white button-up shirt that looked crisp and too tight on his body, with slacks hanging low on narrow hips. There was stubble along his jaw and exhaustion beneath his eyes despite the well-kept mustache and soft blue tint of his irises, but somehow neither of those things took away from him. If anything, they added something unfairly charming. He smelled faintly of cheap cologne and cigarette smoke, and something sweeter underneath that reminded Healy vaguely of oranges.
Healy frowned when he noticed that the man’s blond hair was exactly the same shade of June’s usual beehive hairdo.”

Summary
It was a stupid fucking idea. That had already been established beyond reasonable doubt. However, Healy was not entirely opposed to stupid ideas, and often encouraged them, even passively, just to see what happened. That's how he ended up here, wasn't it?
