Chimney’s eyes are bouncing back and forth between Eddie and Buck, his eyes wide with shock and a little bit of panic. “Fuck… I so owe Eddie twenty bucks,” Chimney mumbles, head dipping low, and a groan leaving his mouth. Then, Chimney digs his wallet out of his pocket, flicks open the sad, thin thing, and tugs a crumpled twenty free. “Fuck you.”

Buck is handed a cup of something – he’s in no position to ask questions – and he takes a grateful sip. He mumbles to the man, something he hopes sounds like have a good day, and turns to leave.
When he makes it to his car, he sits in the driver's seat and chokes down half of the hot drink before looking down at the cup.

When Kevin had asked why Buck had spent the equivalent of a small country’s GDP at a random coffee shop at least five miles out of the way of the studio, his gym, or the homes of anyone he knows, Buck had said the coffee was just that good. Which wasn’t strictly a lie, if you only count the first time he’d gone in."
