Summary
When Lucifer leaves Chloe for Hell with nothing but an unanswered love confession, she knows he's never coming back. She also knows there's only one way she'll ever be reunited with the man she loves. The only question is… what is Chloe Decker willing to do that would guarantee she ends up in Hell?
The next year is a slow slide into darkness — an eroding of her morals that Chloe can't deny she's starting to enjoy. It's frighteningly easy to rationalize her actions. She becomes an even better detective when she's willing to do things the bad way. She's starting to understand what Lucifer liked so much about breaking the rules, and then some. It's liberating, after a lifetime of taking the high road, and it's effective. After all, Lucifer's not coming back, so she'll have to go to him.
Until… he does come back. Right when Chloe's at her worst. She sees herself compared to who she used to be, the purity he fell for, and for a terrible moment she's scared that she's become someone he can't love. But thousands of years in Hell has rubbed off on Lucifer, too. He's darker, rougher, more brutal — just like her. And he doesn't seem to mind his dark Detective one bit.
In fact, they match quite well.

Being God is a lot harder than Lucifer thought it would be.
He's overworked, underfucked, and barely hanging on. But at least he can finally give Chloe everything she deserves, and with her birthday coming up, Lucifer's especially excited to flex his new powers to deliver a night she'll never forget. The only problem is... she doesn't seem to want anything extravagant. Just a quiet dinner at home, and him.

Enraged after Lucifer's refusal to return to Hell, God finally steps in.
If you so wish to live amongst humans, my son, then so be it.
And then Lucifer’s not quite Lucifer anymore, yet he can’t remember if he ever was. As a human-looking being in a human world, he assumes the only thing he can.
Memory of his origins foggy, fading, then gone. Powers not gone, but suppressed — enough so that he can always explain away how people tend to open up to him, why doors always seem to be unlocked. But the one thing he can't explain to himself are the embers he feels deep within himself. Distant, but glowing.
It gives him no comfort, this feeling that he's more. It's an itch he can't reach, a puzzle he can't solve. So he stops searching, and drowns it instead.
Life has not been kind to Lucifer since then. Wrecked by his melancholy and consumed by every vice under the sun, he meets Chloe Decker. She throws him in a holding cell to sleep off a bender, and when he awakes, sober for the first time in what could be months or years... there's that flame again. Tiny, but hopeful. And he can't say why exactly, but there's something about this woman that makes him want to start searching again.

Summary
When Lucifer used everything at his disposal to save Chloe and her daughter from Cain, it resulted in both of them seeing his Devil Face. His wings. Lucifer wished he'd could just run...fly away and hide. Hating that he caused the people he cared about any pain. But he couldn't run and they didn't run from him. Life started looking up as they talked and settled into their lives together, now knowing about the divine.
But when Chloe and her daughter are kidnapped...all of their lives are turned upside down again in the aftermath. Will Lucifer be able to prove to them that he wasn't going to run anymore? That he will always be there for them? Or would they finally push him away forever like he feared?
