Midoriya Izuku never wanted the spotlight.
Quite frankly, he'd have been happy spending his three years in U.A.'s Support Course hunched over his work bench drowning in blueprints, caffeine, and whatever gas Mei had accidentally flooded the workshop with this time.
But no, apparently the support students needed to be more 'well rounded' and 'integrate with their fellow classmates'.
Cue Power Loader drafting Class-2H into mandatory training and 'team building' exercises in preparation for the upcoming Sports Festival.
Because that was the obvious solution. Public humiliation and an absolute overhaul of Izuku's carefully curated schedule of avoidance and overwork.
What could possibly go wrong?

The one where Midoriya Izuku is in the U.A. Support Course and spends his time sabotaging any and every attempt Power Loader makes to train him for the Sports Festival, tormenting the U.A. staff, and single handedly raising the resting heart rate of one Aizawa Shouta. Ao3 is silencing me

Supposedly, AFO died in Kamino, so now The league is still around but not as big as they use to be. O and the league are in cohorts in relation to the Doctor ,Garaki. I think it’s hinted that Garaki is trying to work with Cicada(Izuku) to help with his Nomu project. Not that either of them actually know each other, but like I said in the summary, it’s a hustle.

I wish I started this summary from the jump, but I’m starting it at chapter 6, so hopefully my memory doesn’t fail me.
This fic seems to have a story that’s already set in motion, like a moving train and we -the readers- hitched a ride trying to figure out what came before and what will follow. We start with Izuku already in his second year of high school. Which already raises questions, the league is mentioned a few times, so I can mostly say the UsJ in the first year did happen, but I’m unsure if anything came out of it besides the League making a name for themselves. Also, we have yet to see anyone from said class (class 1A, well 2A) yet. Yet having no prior knowledge, we know Mei Hatsume is Izuku’s best friend; they on occasion even talk to another girl, Maina. However, it’s mainly them two. We actually find out Izuku enjoys going up and down alleys- well Cicada (his alias) selling his support items and code in exchange for parts and money. He’s been in the business for a while; I can infer because it’s made clear from that same chapter Izuku grew up poor. It doesn’t help that his mom seems to not be all the way there; she even has someone to take care of her during weekdays I presume, Arai?Izuku comes on weekends to help. And something seems to be up in the air about H? Probably was a bad guy, if Izuku’s reaction was anything. Which is a cause for a massive headache, but you know who else has a headache, Power Loader, and maybe a few other teachers. Having to deal with Izuku and Mei in one class is recipe for disaster! Throughout the story we hear a few stories of the mayhem the two cause. Izuku and Nedzu seen to be on equal footing,sometimes. And Izuku is surprisingly good at the combat training? This fact doesn’t go unnoticed, which compels me to bring it up. I think I’ve hit the key points up this point; I’ll explain with more detail… right after we learn what the hell is going on with O. I’m calling it now that it probably has something to do with trigger resurfacing (which was mentioned at some point) or, those quirk erasing bullets because if you think about it in the first year of high school (canon) O was killed by the league, so if he’s alive rn, that either means he has connections with them, or he’s still doing what he was doing in canon, poor eri, maybe, Idk 🤷🏾♀️. New character alert, Tusk! A bouncer who once upon a time helped Izuku learn how to fight; I suspect this was during H. There are reoccurring Ocs. For example, RJ -a woman who works at Static(a bar that works as a refuge for villains and vigilantes alike; It’s located under Musutafu’s drainage system) she seems to only know Izuku as Cicada. Another important figure, Mr. Tanaka- Izuku’s apartment neighbor(?), an old guy with the same sassy attitude as Izuku, but same big heart. Ocs at an shelter, which includes Jin (a residential old guy), Kyoshi(he runs the place, Izuku tries to help financially but is always shot down), Haruka (the receptionist). There’s also Hound, whose only defining trait that I can recall is he chews gum and works in the background of Static, have we learned nothing from the League. We have Ocs and we have some answers, so yes, it was trigger resurfacing and Cicada has dug himself into a deep ditch getting involved. Basically, Izuku had these clients that he took on that tried to get one over on him by not paying , so Izuku did what any sane and mentally sound teenager would do; he sold out those clients (who turned out to be an illegal company named Kōyō, but Izuku already knew this, only I didn’t know). Izuku ,as smart as he is, didn’t really think anything of it after handing the mess over to the police... Until, coincidences started happening. Endeavor’s sidekick, dead, a hero relocated just before catastrophe. Are these connected? RJ and Patch tell Izuku off for biting off more than he can chew. Izuku, I kid you not, just plays in their faces without a care in the world. just earlier he got ‘lectured’ by Mei for messing with the drones that were part of their training that same day (the same practice Izuku dipped), and he played in her face too, so Izuku doesn’t take anything serious. Which seems to be the underlying reason why he now spends most lunches forced into Nedzu’s office. But hey, at least Izuku succeeded in creating his AI, name M.O.N.K.I. Now would be a good time to mention, None of this is in order; this is to help jog my memory when rereading. -

Summary
And they go back to watching their documentaries, with Izuku keeping his grip on the man’s hand - a comforting feeling for the both of them. The trust between the hero and child is slowly being built brick by brick and both Shouta and Izuku hope that nothing will knock it down before it becomes an iron wall of unconditional trust.

Summary
When All Might, Midoruya Izuku's life-long idol, tells him he can't be a hero.. Well, Izuku finds a different way he can save people, especially after the loss of his mother years ago. For some reason, he feels like he needs to make up for it.
Finally, Izuku begins 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨, finding friends, work--with his fake identity--and even someone he can call his significant other. Maybe even someone he feels comfortable calling his parental figure..
But.. Something isn't right. Things aren't adding up. The fleeting shadows in his vision aren't simply hallucinations. No, they're out for blood. They're out for Izuku.
They won't stop until they have complete control of the vigilante.
