Summary
Roo is not “The Root of All Evil”. She's not evil, she's Chaos. She was declared as “The Root of All Evil” by the Heavenly Host.
Roo advised her son to form a Soul Contract with a powerful Overlord (specifically not a Hellborn or any of the Sins), in order to disguise his unique soul from Creation's scrutiny upon his migration from Earth to Hell. To avoid garnering too much scrutiny from Heaven. If Heaven ever discovers his true heritage, then Alastor will have all of the Heavenly Host after him.
After breaking his Soul Deal with Rosie, Alastor finds his situation is a bit more difficult than he was expecting. He broke free of his leash...which was meant to mask him from detection by the Heavenly Host. The Heavenly Host which is becoming more involved with Hell because of Charlie's Redemption Project.
Alastor is not looking forwards to what he has to do. He has to be cordial with Lucifer in order to wrangle a deal out of the Angel of Free Will. The only angel in all of Creation, who is the least likely to try and smite him out of existence for merely existing.
The man will be insufferable.

Summary
Whilst the Nogitsune stalks down the hallway snarling about being a thousand years old, he stops as the ceiling vent above him rattles, before another Stiles crashes down on top of him. A sword almost impales both of them when it follows several seconds later. The pair are a tangle of limbs, they haven't managed to separate by the time a tentacle blob monster also falls out of the ventilation system on top of them. Followed by a young woman with black hair and goo smothered casual clothes.
Really, it only got weirder from there. Scott wished he'd stayed in bed.

“You look like shit.”
A red gaze sweeps Lucifer from head to hoof and back again, followed by a well-sculpted eyebrow rising pointedly.
“Yes, yes,” Lucifer says from very much not the high ground. “Pot. Kettle. I’m aware. Why do you look like shit?”
Red places his free hand on his chest, fingers spread in gentlemanly offense. “I’m merely winded from all the effort I put into saving the Pentagram from your folly.”
Uh huh. No doubt Red’s a real hero. But first, a point of clarification. “My folly?”
“When you walked straight into the most obvious ambush of all time and were used as the unwitting power source for a doomsday device that nearly killed us all.” Black-tipped ears perk forward. “Ring any bells?”
Oh, fuck him. Also, no, not really. “Well, excuse me for underestimating what you sinners are capable of. None of you have ever managed to hurt me before in all the millennia you’ve tried. I’m not used to ambushes meaning anything.”
“Hence, folly.” Red tilts his head to the side at an inhuman angle, canned laughter swelling in the background. “You’re so good at it!”
