Something passes through Lucifer’s face, a hostile tremor, a threat that almost curled the tip of his sneer. Alastor heard him chuckle, but it had to be his imagination, because Lucifer only blinked in his direction with lethargic contemplation.
“So, that’s it,” he said, a smug, self-satisfied resolve sweetening his raspy voice, which irritated him to no end. “You’ll have my body as payment.”
Somehow, Alastor ends up entangled with the Devil.

Summary
After the role he played in Vox's plan, Lucifer's depression is at an all time low. The nightmares get worse, and he wonders why anyone bothers to have him around anymore. Shockingly, he gets help from the most unlikely source, namely a certain Radio Demon who has begun to act a little strange around him as of late. He thinks he can handle what's in store for him. He thinks that with Alastor's help, he can maybe start to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Everything started to feel so easy.
At least, until certain feelings got in the way.

Summary
Now that the exterminations have ended, Charlie Morningstar starts getting ideas about re-re-reforming the way sinners arrive in Hell; meanwhile, Alastor’s best laid plans for manipulation and pain are waylaid by genuine sincerity and, worst of all, a romantic subplot.
At least there was sure to be plenty of violence along the way.

He peeks at the paper Takemitchy is working at.
“What are you writing?”
“Nothing of importance. I’m simply reworking some formulae I’ve found faults with.”

“Is it related to this magic of yours?”
“Yes, you are right. I am a mage—a magus, as they call me—but magic can be implemented in a variety of ways. Spells, including those for warping, comprise one such way, which also happens to be my speciality. And this way,” he audibly thumbs at the parchment, “is something of a hobby of mine.”
“This hobby being…?”
“Alchemy,” Takemitchy supplies with a smile. “I’m an alchemist.”
Suddenly, the pots around the house make sense. No wonder Mikey thought some of them more peculiar than the others.A self-made slave, Mikey is saved by an enigmatic mage who promises to lift his tragic curse. What he believes to be an unpleasant ordeal eventually blooms into something beautiful.
