Nico and Will were tasked on going to Auradon by Hades after having trouble using his powers in that world and a well needed vacation.
Hades walks in with blue hair and leather clothes, "You finally woke up" said Hades "How are you feeling".

....
In other words Nico is on the Isle, meets some people with actual fashion sense, and then goes to a Fancy Pants school where they all get turned into preps.

Summary
In an effort to escape the torment of Klaus Mikealson, and avoid the possible death of Elena, the Salvatore brothers, the Gilbert siblings, Caroline Bonnie and Jenna escape overnight to a new town called Forks. There Amelia Gilbert, meets a strange young man named Edward Cullen who isn’t who he says he is. In an effort to hide her secret and the reason why her and her friends and family moved to forks, Amelia comes up with a fake backstory. Will she be able to keep her past a secret from Edward, and what happens when she discovers that Edward is a vampire?
The time line for this story starts after season 2 episode 18 of the vampire diaries and at the beginning of twilight.

Simon closes his eyes. It's his own type of silent defiance. If this man isn't just fucking with him – if he does, for some strange reason, feel bad or guilty about capturing him, then good. Let him drown in it.
Simon is captured by a compulsive liar who, bafflingly, gives him food, smiles at him, and pretends the Quiet Rapture never happened.

As they and their friends work on healing their wounds, physical and mental, surprising bonds form, although not unwelcome. Trust must be built fast as Simon and Grace face the new threat from within.
