    His grey eyes follow him as the hospital door clicks shut and he sits down, stacking the bento boxes on the rolling table.

    Life had been a soft thing, lately. Not good- far from it- but, easy. All his friends are dead, so he doesn't have to worry about them, and after he stopped fighting , the hospital staff become more annoying than actively hostile. He watches the sun rise and set over the brick of the surrounding buildings through his hospital window, and he leaves the lights off and the blinds open all day.
