Summary
It's two months since the gate was closed, the Upside Down collapsed, and Max watched her best friend disappeared with it all. And yet, she feels like she can't move on, mostly because she still can't really move. It turns out having several major bones broken and your eyes almost pop out of your skull by an extra-dimensional being really does a number on your body.
Takes place in the 18 months between the final battle and the epilogue with chapters alternating between Max and Lucas' point of view.

Summary
Everything goes as wrong as it can. Hermione finds herself pregnant with Harry's child during their fifth year, and almost at the same time she finds herself getting launched into problems that never should have been hers. She gets to know things about the Death Eaters and she can't do more than keep it a secret. She befriends people she never thought was going to be friends with her, and she somehow still manages to keep her relationship with Harry whole.
Narcissa Malfoy is trapped at home with Death Eaters everywhere and her husband transforming into another person. She starts exchaning letters with Severus Snape and over the letters she finds herself falling in love.
Draco keeps getting tortured by his father about taking the mark, even though he really doesn't want to take it. He feels broken and he and Theodore becomes closer friends than ever. At the same time he notices that his parents are slowly disappearing in front of his eyes.
Bill starts exchanging letters with Hermione when he gets to know that she is pregnant, and at the same time he falls in love more and more with Fleur. He watches the Hogwarts he once knew fall apart and he watches his family become people he didn't know.

Summary
This story follows El, Max, Mike and Will navigating their way through life after the events of the Season 5 finale.
El misses Hawkins but has to move on in a world that's always been hard on her. She gets to learn it can be gentle.
Max is content with her life in Hawkins but has to leave due to an emergency. She is tired of starting over but then finds unexpected peace with an unexpected person.
Mike misses El and Mike misses Will. It's not too late to make things right with them. One way or another.
Will has moved on, except he hasn't. Back in Hawkins there's always an empty seat in Mike's basement waiting for him to be taken.
