This forest is said to be plagued by a darkness unlike any other, some even say there is a master of this darkness; some call it a demon, others a vampire, but all call it something too dangerous to be idly messed with... X, a nephilim warrior of peace, has been sent to this place in hopes that his Light can cleanse the forest of its darkness.
X finds there IS a master of the darkness-- or rather, it finds HIM-- and the fangs hunger for his blood. The nephilim must remember how to cast his runes...or fall into the waiting claws reaching to cradle him in darkness.

In a world where the paths of mortals and gods often cross, the god of Light showers the land in his love. His people are always first in his mind, and he is never left lonely, at least on the outside. It was a time of great peace, but peace is not something that is guaranteed forever.An upset in the balancing forces of power creates a rift between X and the other gods, and he retreats to his kingdom for solace, choosing not to communicate for a time. When a rugged stranger appears with a dire warning, X has to face the very thing that caused him to withdraw in the first place, as well as the gaping hole in his heart.

Summary
Before the events of X1, a very eager Rookie Hunter X spots someone he wants to get to know.
That person, however, is wary of forming close personal bonds with anyone, given the dangerous nature of their work.
Wanting to find a way to break the ice, X finds Zero at his favorite perch high atop the Maverick Hunter HQ building and poses a simple question to him. Zero's answer surprises even himself.

This is a gift for a friend of mine, they mean a lot to me and with their permission I'm posting this here.
Brief Synopsis:
X (My friend's version of X, named Elysium) has gotten close with their own Zero and my universe's version of X (Their name is Xerxes, but he isn't really in this story, only referenced once, same with my friend's version of Zero.) but when it comes to my Zero (his nickname being Solis) he can't bring himself to speak, let alone interact with them. Ultimately he comes to the idea that maybe this Zero just.. isn't interested in him at all.
