Summary
What would you do if you woke up in the middle of nowhere, buried in the snow, missing a part of your body, and with no memory to boot? Those answers will come with time; until then, the only certainty now is survival.
Well, nothing could be fairer than spending this time with a mercenary with questionable honor.
He wants help, and she wants someone to work for her. A rather fair exchange, if you can put it that way.
He claims to be just, but the more he enjoys this new life, the more he distances himself from the past. How long will this last before the burden of leadership calls him? He will have to decide between a life of sweet lies or embracing the bitterness of truth and the burden of war.
And the young mercenary, who will be tested by a God she stopped believing in a long time ago. She will have a chance to redeem herself, but at what cost? She says this stranger is disposable, but is he really?
When something new comes to you unprepared, you feel the warmth of its company... and that's a good thing, but also very dangerous when you become too attached.
