The ring Bucky had given to Sam was looped onto its matching gold chain and usually rested proudly on Sam’s defined chest, right against his heart. Bucky’s own heart swelled every time he saw it, tucked away under Sam’s shirts. But at this moment, the small piece of metal was knocking repeatedly against Bucky’s forehead. He wasn’t even slightly concerned with moving it out of the way. Not when he was buried inside of Sam and unable to think of anything else.
