Yuuji thought it was a dream, how we was going to wake up any minute now and have to go back out to fight Sukuna.
To see the people he loved and looked up to die.
But as he looked back up at Gojo he couldn’t help the tears that flowed down his eyes, he knew they were both dead. But he couldn’t help but feel, at peace. Finally.
They both enjoyed a moment of peace in the quiet airport.
“You know, you always did remind me of him.”
Yuuji knew already who Gojo was referencing.
After all, he was a different version of him.

that question repeated in his mind, help people? yes, of course. being kind? absolutely. Though, none of these gave a proper answer in this current moment.
So the man caved, he sat up to pretend to check the already awake teen and softly called out “hey Yuji” which the alerted boy whipped his head towards the speaker. He gave him a warm smile before inquiring “if I were to buy you anything you wanted right now, what will it be?” he dramatically waved his arms in an arc.
Yuji hummed in thought “I’d say…” he dragged it out longer, seemingly contemplating his choices “...a rice cooker” he answered.
