Red spends her time making sandcastles, Hazel works on perfecting her tan, and Chloe is a water gremlin.

Red moved to sit on the floor in front of her and took the phone off her hands, eyes skimming through the texts. “Wait— You have a date to the Ball?”
Chloe lifted up her head, pouting. “No.”
“But you said you did.”
“I know.”
“Why would you do that?”
“Because I’m an idiot.” Chloe answered.

Red baked two batches the night before: one for class, one very much not for class. Pink grabbed the wrong box before first bell, and by second period Chloe wants cheese, Hazel refuses to let go of Chloe’s waist, Luis keeps appearing with snacks, Max has committed himself to the floor, and Red cannot get anyone to stay where she leaves them long enough to fix any of it.

Summary
Ivy was only 16 when she left home. She spent a few years wondering the streets, busking for petty change, pickpocketing, sleeping in parks and nature reserves, carrying only what fit in her pack. Shelters were hardly an option for a woman her age and stature, she had never felt safe there, so she opted to roaming. Things look bleak for her. With Ivy's minimal education, poor school marks, lost personal documents, and no housing, finding a job was almost impossible. Until she wanders into a new town, and comes face to face with a red brick building on the towns edge. "Mother Miranda's Boarding School for Girls". That's where our story starts - at the main door of that boarding school.
Important note: Please read the tags, and try to be nice. This is a vent fic for me so a lot of the stuff happening here, are mirrored personal experiences. I'm not writing this for praise, kudos, or comments - even though they're appreciated. For me, this is simply therapeutic and a good way to work through my personal past in a framework I find comfortable.
