“God, I’m so angry at you!” Dick laughed, voice manic as he tossed his phone beside him on the concrete, on speaker, and brushed a hand wildly through his hair. “It’s always Jason this, Jason that’. Do I just not matter to you anymore? Did I ever? I don’t speak to you for months. Months Bruce! And you still have the audacity to ask about him first thing before even asking how I’m doing when I finally want to talk to you. Do you even understand how fucked up that is? How bad that hurts?"

(Should have bookmarked earlier) 616 canon-compliant fic where Gwen Stacy pulls a Jason Todd and finds herself resurrected from the dead at a point in continuity where Peter and MJ are married but Harry is still alive. Fortunately for her, she won’t have as bad a time of it as Jason did, though that isn’t to say life will be sunshine and lollipops for her, or for Mary-Jane and Peter for that matter.

Summary
Bruce isn’t foolish enough to mistake this man for his son, for Jason, but everything about him tugs at his mind.
Jason was four foot ten, barely scraping a hundred pounds on a good day. Despite his twiggy form, he had round cheeks, clinging to the baby fat from his adolescence. His curls were unruly and his eyes were the brightest blue, always scrunched with delight or mischief.
This man is everything Jason was not. He’s tall, broad. Every feature is sharp and defined with a strong jaw and muscles that nearly rival Bruce’s own. His eyes are dark, almost dangerous, his mouth set into a frown. He is in a worn pair of dark jeans and a blood stained leather jacket.
There is nothing about this man that should make Bruce think of Jason, and yet there is.
