And, sure, Bruce had always told him to be careful. To keep a watchful eye on his drink, and not to stray too far from Bruce’s side. But Bruce was overprotective, and Dick wasn’t a kid anymore. He didn’t need to fear Gotham’s elite because there was nothing to fear.

Through the carnage came a figure cloaked in shadow, she appeared to move through the bodies rather than step on top of them. Even standing somewhere around seven or eight feet tall, she was far too humanoid to be a foe, they had long since abandoned their ruse of playing at humanity. She wore a cloak that appeared to dissipate and knit together like threads of smoke, the gossamer threads like the grey of a new dawn. Under the hood, he could only just make out her eyes, a clouded sky blue, pupils, and her gaze unending.
She stopped before him, their eyes meeting through his tears. There was no empathy in her gaze, only his own agony reflected back at him, though her hand was light as a soft breeze as she tipped his chin up.
“Please,” Dick said, even though he didn’t know what he was asking for: release, mercy, death.
“You long to go back.”
“Yes.”
“For a different outcome.”
Dick nearly choked on the word, “yes.”
“I can make it so. I can give you the gift of foresight, but I warn you, it comes at great sacrifice as it does for anyone else who it is bestowed upon.”
Dick Grayson may not be able to change everything, but my god, is he going to try.

STOP STOP STOPPPPPP WHY DOES THIS FIC GOTTA BE SO GOOD
Okay, let's make it quick (it won't be)
This at first glance appears to be your usual Peter pops up into the DC universe and meets the bats and all that, but it's not. It's so much more than that.
I'm emotional, I feel like I have to process this fic bro I just finished it and I'm ready to reccomend it to anyone.
It focuses on Peter's insecurities, his lack of self worth, and how his crazy ass traumatizing life affects how he sees himself, Peter and spiderman, as two different people deserving of different things.
It's a journey, like a real bumpy trip, but no worries! It's not all angst!
The author is a fucking comedic genius, for fucks sake I laughed countless of times while reading this!!! I LOVE THE USES OF PARENTHESES IT'S SO FUN.
It truly does feel like it's Peter narrating (don't worry, it's 3rd POV), the humour in this story is for real something I haven't seen in most stories.
My god dude you're gonna be having a sad session with your eyes pink from crying and the next second be cackling with (If a bit hysterical) laughter. I ain't even trying to suck up to the author and all that, like I genuinely felt joy reading this.
The story hits real hard, and I love the writing and pacing, it's so good dude.
And the best of it is that it even makes you realize some things about yourself and the grief of having to leave someone you loved behind, whether they died or they're still alive.
How you can never really avoid attachment, and how the fact that you even had the chance to spend time with those people make the shitty feeling worth it at the end, and maybe even turns it a little less shitty (only a little tho we can't be that generous).I loved all the little revelations along the story, I was bamboozled at some of them (Nic, im looking at you and your blood stained dirty ass shoes).
And the characters felt real, *Peter* felt real, he wasn't this two dimensional "baby spider who worries others too much and only likes pickles on sandwiches", he was so much more than that, a true deep character I'd say. Props to the author for that, broke my heart (I will get revenge by making you get a notification with this long ass bookmark)
I binge read it and I'm not ashamed, I loved every second of it, I could imagine the situations clearly with the descriptions, yet they were not overly heavy either to the point where it's boring and you loose track of the scene.I'm rambling so I'm gonna cut it short to not embarras myself further. (Oh look, I did anyway)
So, basically, story where Peter is waaah waaah, gets thrown to the DC universe in a rather pathetic and eyebrow raising way. Finds out that oooh damn home is where I make it to be even if I didn't try for it to be, and Oh damn I really miss home, goes some waaaah waaah again, beats ass, gets ass beaten (by fire), finds a real nice landlord (wouldnt be surprised if she stabbed you with her fake teeth thingies), baffles the bats by having **4 DIFFERENT IDENTITIES**, becomes a weird Minecraft hero, and brings joy to the world with his unstoppable radioactive humor.
Oh, he also like, has 34.5 existential crisis and, yes! you guessed it, *revelations* cus you can't have a crisis without realizing something (whether its "damn, maybe I do deserve love", or "damn, this guy for real names everything he has with his weird furry shtick")Therefore: best story ever.
Honestly, just read it, definitely worth it trust🤞

He wants Damian to need him. And really, is it manipulation if his family benefits from it?

Tim glanced up, the rhythmic sucking of his pacifier coming to a still at the sight of a black Rolls Royce idling at the side road that lead to Wayne Manor. Alfred was staring at him from the over the car top, aghast. “Master Bruce, it’s not a raccoon.”
From the back seat, Bruce Wayne stared at him. Tim stared back.
Or: Tim is side tracked by his actual childish needs and wants, gets a whole bunch of his nannies fired, terrorizes his parents with a series of petty revenges, is an honest employer of one (1) newly minted murderer for hire, endears himself to – and thoroughly weirds out – the Waynes, and is generally just a petty, manipulative, vindictive, smol boy.

Homecoming AU.
Ben and May divorced before Peter’s parents died, so when Ben is murdered Peter goes into foster care. So he leaves.

So many things happened that in the end when Peter says only a year and a half passed my brain went blank LMFAO
I read this in one go (it's 3 am help I have a test today I have not studied) and it was so fucking worth it
The style of writting is so mf good, I could visualize each and every scene easily! And man- I got soo attached to the OCs 😭 EMMA FELIPE LILY EVEN FUCKING ARNOLD 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Its so weird cuz *I* felt grief over the death of uncle Ben, and hes not my actual uncle!!!!
Insane writting honestly, love the comfort, and of course the hurt too. SATISFYING ENDING TOOO!!
Its hard to swallow, the child abuse and utter carelessness from the cps's agents hit me hard, it's so well described.
Man I even felt unease! Most things I read don't tend to make me uneasy! Felt like I was watching a horror movie at some point (yeah, the firsts appearances of *him*, the oh so perfect adoptive father mf I knew I recognized that horrible ass name)

Anyways quick reesumee for ppl who are interested:
Dick instead of being adopted by Bruce goes to lives with the Todds.
Meaning that he meets 4yr old Jason and has to live with Willis (abusive whore) and Catherine, whom if you know the back story of you will know how things go for her.
Dick meets Artemis as a child (they were both ten) and they make good friends. If you know what happened to Artemis you'll know that she has some serious issues too.
The first chapters of the fic (exquisite btw) revolve around dick trying to come into terms with his new life and stuff, while also trying to protect Jason from Willis and bonding with both Jay and Artemis. At some point Wally enters the stage too! And it's a cute ass friendship
Every chapter is a whole year, which means they are veery long and cool and so goodd
You read as Dick grows up and deals with the absolute shithole that is his life. This made me so attached to every fucking character like even //I// felt like Jason was my little brother bro it's so surreal
I swear it's so worth it

Matt is a big bro, T Stark kinda fucked up but his decisions were not thought to harm Pete, Mother-hen Foggy, badass Jessica & Karen & May and some good patriot Steve Rogers.
Honestly one of the best fics regarding SA in term of realism and there's overall no romanticism of rape. -

This story will get darker as it progresses, just like the original Harry Potter novels. It will cover all Seven Years of Hogwarts, but mostly from Ron's perspective. Heavily based on Canon Lore, but world-building focuses on expanding the Canon Lore in a respectful manner. No Mary Sues, no Character Bashing. There will be romance, but it is not the main focus of the story. Voldemort is not a protagonist, he is the antagonist.

After the events of Loki: Where Mischief Lies, Loki spends the next forty years living on Earth with Theo. Until Theo dies, illness and old age eventually taking its toll. So Loki is left alone, grieving with a child on the way. To make matters worse, the child was born taking after his mortal father, aging much faster than a standard Asgardian should. Unsure what to do, Loki takes him back to Midgard, leaving him with the few people that might understand his natural born magic.
125 years later, Peter has wormed his way into the Avengers with the hope that through them, he can finally meet his father and ask the god a few question. If he ends up pranking a few of said Avengers along the way, well, no one can really blame him. He's still very much a kid, after all.
Or, Peter is Loki/Theo's kid (Who ages only 1 year for every 10) and has a little too much fun using magic to prank Avengers while searching for Loki.
