Summary
Jinshi paid for the whole night, but the reason why is far more innocent than Maomao expects. A fic that draws on elements of canon, but is not actually canon. An AU where Maomao is a courtesan at Verdigris House. The palace is plagued with mysterious deaths, and Jinshi suspects poison. He's told of a courtesan that has knowledge of medicine and poison, and seeks her out with the intention of requesting her assistance with the investigation.
