--Peters One and Three turned back toward Peter Two and noticed (too late) a glass vial being tossed at his feet. The vial shattered on impact, and a yellow smoke partially obscured Two from sight as he nearly collapsed in a coughing fit.
“Two!” both Peters shouted in unison, Three only just holding One back from running into the gas as well.
The smoke slowly dissipated around him, and Peter Two stopped coughing. He stood up straight. Eerily straight. Both Peters tensed.
“Two?” One called. Three held his breath.
--Peter Two is compromised, and Peters One and Three are forced to figure out how to finish the mission AND save their spider-bro.

Summary
Relief floods Spider's veins as powerful as a wave, makeing him shake with it and the waning adrenaline. He keeps his eye closed because maybe he is dead. Maybe Eywa granted him mercy in not feeling the blade connect.
The thought terrifies him, his heart threatening to quicken again but he opens his eyes and turns back to look. He half expects to see Neteyam standing there, a welcoming smile and sad eyes that they're seeing one another so soon.
He's not prepared for what he actually sees.

It’s strange, Amy thinks as she watches him through the glass. They’ve probably been in this same position at least three dozen times before - her on this side, him on that one - but never once has she been quite this anxious. Never once has he seemed quite so frail.
Never once has he tended to his own minor wounds, or held his own ice pack to his bruised and swollen eye, or watched the door with as much quiet intensity.
Never once has he been a victim.
