"Hey Boostie," Ted exclaimed from where he was grabbing a snack from the cupboards. "Why not just get him a gag gift? He'd probably expect that from you."
"Yes!" Michael snapped his fingers. "Yeah! I'll like, get him a glitter bomb or an alien dildo or something."
That perked Bruce's ears up, as he turned to face Booster. "A gag gift?"
The gold endowed "hero" smiled in a very unheroic way, Bruce could practically hear Ted shiver behind him.
"Oh. Buddy. Gag gifts are the best! You never got one?"
"I prefer all my gifts to be thought out and put with care, not something silly that isn't useful or means nothing to me."
"But it does mean something! Best friendship!" That last part he said while gripping Batman's shoulder, looking at the wall like there was some fake audience. As if—what like he's in some weird fanfiction or TV show?

Summary
The Rogues are back; Tony Stark couldn't even be mad about it - it was his idea after all. He's an Avenger and that means protecting the Earth at any cost - even if he has to deal with a certain star-spangled man and his sullen sidekick. After all, he's been through worse in his life; the loss of his wife and the disappearance of his son 12 years ago. Compared to that, this would be a walk in the park.
Bucky Barnes is back on US soil as a free man. But freedom is more than just physical. On top of that, Steve is desperate for him to be the man he was before. The only problem is; that man is long dead.
Peter Parker has been through the mill but he knows he just had to adapt, roll with the (many) punches and keep going. Spider-man is his safe place now, the one time he could truly feel like himself. Like he is making a difference. He'd make sure no one would suffer like he has, even if he has to track down the perpetrator himself.

Summary
There were a great many odd things about the interview Alfred gave at Wayne Manor.
Perhaps the oddest was that the interview had begun while sharing a cell with Thomas Wayne, the lord of the house, and the heir to one of Gotham’s richest and oldest families.
He carried himself in a way that suggested that to anyone, whether they knew of the family’s renown or didn’t. And that was the only reason that Alfred, sulking in the corner of a disgusting holding cell in a corrupt station, bothered to listen to the man’s job offer.
“I’ve never been a butler.” Alfred had mildly protested, half-convinced the job offer was fake anyways. Who needed a butler in this modern age?
But Thomas’s eyes had merely glinted with amusement, undeterred. “You’ll learn.”
