What they see in each other
Ch 1 - Val was an absolute tank, reliable in a fight and as able to take a punch as he was to dole one out. It’s why Vox wanted to work with Val in the first place, aside from his growing business. He was a monster. And yet, when it came to Vox, Val was as helpless as a newborn deer. What a power trip it was to have someone so powerful bend to him so easily. He was like an attack dog, doing what he was told with no questions asked and a vicious determination. And they said romance was dead. - ch 1

Summary
It’s hardly any secret that Hell is full of Sinners. Nor is it unexpected that the Radio Demon is not the only serial killer among its population.
But it does create something of a problem when Alastor’s business associates happen to be precisely the type of target for one such infamous Sinner. Alastor isn’t sure what irritates him more: a rival muscling into his territory, or Charlie’s reckless optimism that ruthless murderers can be saved.
At least one will certainly be the second death of him.

Bookmarker's Notes
Ch 5 - He has Charlie. He has Charlie. He has Charlie.
He’d never even considered for a second that Jack would manage to get his hands on her. He’d been so careful to dog her heels, not to let her out of his sight. Catching Jack was the problem, not keeping Charlie alive. But now—he can already envision it, so easily after all the other bodies—the terror on her face, her corpse mangled, chest and abdomen gouged open, insides piled around her, parts of her stolen—
The thought actually repulses him. Gore has never once bothered Alastor; the smell and the taste of it have always invigorated him. But even the thought of seeing Charlie’s insides makes his stomach churn violently.
And the thought of Charlie cut apart like that—after trying so hard to help the man that might kill her—it… upsets him.
He isn’t sure why. His cold, rotted heart has long lost the ability to care or feel. All he knows for certain is that he dislikes the idea of Charlie being gone. Her vibrant, naive light being snuffed out of the world so early would be a great loss for Hell.
He hates the thought. He hates the thought that he would miss her, too. - ch 5
Ch 5 - It does matter. As furious and humiliating and terrifying as it is to admit it, it does matter, because if Charlie dies it will mean something, and if she lives it will mean something better . In this moment, his plans, his reputation, his manipulation, none of that is his reason for acting.
Heaven help him, somehow he’s grown to care, even a tiny smidge. He wants Charlie to walk away from this alive purely for that reason without any strings attached. - ch 5

Summary
A dead padawan, a masked Sith, a failing Republic, and the missing link that connects it all.
In which eleven year old Anakin Skywalker is kidnapped and memory wiped by the Sith, and it changes everything.
...
Vader had a plan: destroy Sidious, seize power, and finally rule the galaxy. Easy.
What he didn’t plan on:
– Babysitting a snippy Padawan
– Being emotionally blackmailed by her grief-stricken Jedi master
– Catching feelings for a stubborn (and strangely attractive???) Naboo senator who insists there's still "good in him" - whatever that meansBut when fragments of a life he doesn't remember start to resurface, and his new "allies" won't stop dragging his ass toward the light, Darth Vader starts to wonder who he really is beneath the mask.
Because, sometimes, the real power is the friends you definitely didn’t plan on making.
…And seriously, who the hell is Anakin Skywalker?

Summary
"So, I actually asked you to come here because I wanted to discuss something really important with you. A new idea - or well, a pilot scheme? - that really could change a lot, and mean a lot for the hotel… and other people, too."
She grabbed her binder, setting it in her lap.
"I have a plan for your redemption!"
His smile froze for a second, eyes widening, teeth sharpening, before he very firmly pressed his lips together.
***
Charlie offers part-ownership of her soul in exchange for Alastor attempting redemption. Unfortunately, she is not a qualified counsellor.
