Summary
Jinshi has always sparkled for others, but Maomao has never been mesmerized by it. It was just another thing she was immune to. Now here he was, not particularly sparkly, just obviously in love, and Maomao felt what she could only describe as being enraptured.
Maomao knew she needed to say thank you, but at this moment she did not trust her tongue with words. She was afraid something rather mushy would come to her if she tried to speak, and she wasn’t ready for that yet. Which felt silly to acknowledge - that she had married this man, but was struggling to love him.
And it was not loving him - Maomao had deduced this now. It had almost nothing to do with Jinshi at all. Her constipation with regards to her own ability to love had nothing to do with her commitment to him, either. She cared for and admired him deeply, more than she had anyone else, except maybe Loumen. Maomao hopes someday she is able to admit that to him, but she is still accepting that it is even safe to admit to herself.

Summary
It took Jinshi and Maomao a long time to begin their sexual relationship, and longer still to clarify their romantic one.
In the midst of that, Maomao takes her responsibility of caring for Jinshi's wellbeing quite seriously. If she can be of use to him, then he should use her. Jinshi withholds from doing so, until he can't keep his frustrations to himself.
