Hiccup slowly made his way over to the one who had stood by him always. The one he’d failed more than anyone. Toothless stood there, watching him with blind stone eyes, and Hiccup fell to his knees before his best friend, resting his forehead against the stone and cried in the silence.

Grace rolled his eyes for a moment before he shuffled his way over to where Rocky was perched on the chair, taking a look at the screen his friend was almost excitedly pointing at. "...What the hell?" "Looks like liquid, but moon too small for liquid. We take more look, question?"
Grace flicked a couple of switches and pressed a few buttons, and the Hail Mary ran a quick scan of the moon. And pinged that there was, somehow, LIFE somewhere within the liquid. "Yeah. We'll take a closer look."

Summary
Grace has come to terms with the fact that he will never see another human or Earth again. And that's okay, because he's happy on Erid with Rocky and Adrian. However, with the Hail Mary in mint condition, the Eridians propose that he travel to a red moon in a planetary system with a dead sun, along with Adrian and Rocky, to determine just why it's so...weird. The answer's no. Obviously.
Until they hear a human distress signal coming from that exact moon, and suddenly everything changes.
