Summary
After the League of Villains incident, Katsuki is just trying to keep it together. Things are slipping through the cracks and he's on his hands and knees trying not to let any of his responsibilities out of his sight. Most of the time he can't bear to be touched, especially from behind or anywhere near the back of his neck. Which means his regularly scheduled haircuts are absolutely out of the question. It's fine, he's coping, he's dealing with it—his hair grows out long, longer than it's ever been, and that's fine too.
Until it isn't. But Todoroki being in the right place at the wrong time in the communal boys bathroom as Katsuki is shaving his entire head in a fit of late night mania might just be the solution—one that spans years—that neither of them were looking for.

“Are you kidnapping me?”
“No.” Todoroki looks up at Katsuki where he’s leaning against the table, both hands pressed flat. They make extended eye contact, some real standoff energy. But Katsuki’s not giving this up.
They’re going on this road trip if it kills him.
“Can I not go?” Todoroki asks, one side of his mouth quirking up.
“Also no.”
“And you did this…” He knows whatever Todoroki says next is going to be excruciating, simply due to the pause in between words. “For me?”

Or, when things get rough for Todoroki in more ways than one, Katsuki plans the best goddamn road trip of all time to help fix him.

Summary
The guy does nothing aside from hold the jacket out farther, swinging it closer to Shouto’s bloody face.
Taking a closer look at the jacket from where it dangles in his hand is Shouto’s only option.
There are pins attached to the collar and pockets sporadically, glinting softly in the light. Patches too, hand stitched on, Shouto can tell by his cursory glance. A little gay pride ribbon is pinned to the front pocket with an honest to god safety pin.
The jacket looks well-loved—clearly worn frequently and decorated with intention. Speaks of a long term attachment that only someone dedicated to a specific item achieves.

Or, they pass a jean jacket back and forth long enough for them to fall in love.

Summary
When he finally locates his seat row, he glances down at Katsuki, sprawled in his own seat like a jackass with his arms crossed over his chest, and hums quietly. Looking at him head on is even worse than looking at him from farther off—this dude is so good looking it makes the back of his neck prickle.
He gives Katsuki a bare minimum facial expression that he’s gonna guess suggests vague “sorry you have to get out of your seat to let me into mine” sympathy and tilts his head, red hair coming untucked from behind his ear and spilling into a fine curtain around his face.
The entire thing forces Katsuki to shake his head like a dog to reboot his brain. Jesus Christ.

Or, on his flight to Auntie Inko's destination wedding, Katsuki meets his seatmate. He meets him again in an entirely different way not even twelve hours later.

Summary
After three weeks of Katsuki not setting foot inside, Todoroki is seated, in the middle of his damn meal, in Katsuki’s favorite restaurant. One booth over from Katsuki’s favorite spot.
What the fuck.
His life is a cosmic joke, apparently.
Of course it’s Todoroki. There’s no mistaking him, even if Katsuki wishes he could.
