Summary
It wouldn’t be until almost a decade later during a bit of relational reprieve, that she would begin to blame her mother for putting her in those positions at all. Having to watch every man in that bar like a hawk. Around that same time she would hate herself, just the right amount to learn, in her opinion, for falling for Dean Winchester. As she thought about that very first hunt with the brothers. As she realized that they had taught her a lot, just maybe not the things they wanted to.
_____Alternate universe: The show/the brothers story ended with original arch at season 5. Jo and Ellen never died and lived on. The Roadhouse never burned down. Jo went on hunting, but never with men.

Summary

Sam and Cas are living in the bunker now, sans-dean after the gadreel betrayal. Cas is newly Human now, and while he needs some help learning the intricacies of that, Sam needs some help healing.
They both share things, and think through what they've lost.

Summary
Even at 11 years old, Sam could tell. Could see that Cas liked him, but not as much as he liked Dean, and could see that Cas will never look at him the way he looked at Dean. It bothered him. For he had never been jealous of anything his brother had. Never. Until Castiel walked through their door.
Fast forward 17 years into the future, Sam, now 28, had just landed a job as an associate at Milton Adler, one of Manhattan’s largest law firms. He was ready to impress his new employers and start making a name for himself as a lawyer, except he soon found out that his new boss was none other than Castiel, his brother’s high school best friend and Sam’s first love. Sure, they were close before, but Sam was young and foolish then, and they ended up growing apart. Now, things were becoming very awkward for Sam, because Cas wasn’t showing signs that he knew him at all, and Sam was beginning to realize that his first love never really went away, even after all these years.

Summary
Jody is beginning to think maybe Dean is just never coming back. Perhaps this search is going to take his whole life and she’s going to be saddled with taking care of a traumatised, barely functioning Sam Winchester until the day he dies (which, with the way things are going, is going to be pretty damn soon).
That’s cynical. Trying not to be is so hard though.

Dean has never really considered what their childhood must have looked like from Sam's perspective, back when they were still keeping the truth from him. He might have been better off not knowing.
