Harold realized what Stanton had meant by a tell. He couldn't help recognizing that John didn't want him hearing this. But Harold couldn't understand entirely why; Stanton seemed obsessed with a sexual interpretation that John surely couldn't imagine Harold would find either believable or for that matter, offensive if it had been true
