Summary
Eijun adores Miyuki so much. He likes him, not only wants him to be his catcher, but also someone close to his heart, he likes him more than a senior, more than a teammate, more than a friend. He likes him to the point that he wants him in his future. But Miyuki only pays attention to Furuya, a prodigy. Eijun always tries his best to get Miyuki to look at him or want to catch his pitch, but Miyuki only has time for Furuya. In his first year in Seido. Every single day, he always asked for Miyuki’s attention. The only time Miyuki catches his ball is just because Furuya is on a rest day, or if the Coach asks Miyuki to. Eijun is still happy with the crumb and giving his best at pitching, he never gave up on his dream until one evening, he was sinking so low.

Summary
It was unexpected when Miyuki had gotten hurt during their match with Seiko. The catcher kept playing like nobody’s business and unsurprisingly, Miyuki had been on strict orders to rest for their next game, limited to play with just 60% of his abilities in their next match at Koshein in five days.
But what really caught everyone off guard was Sawamura. He'd come up with a plan—one that was surprisingly clever, even by their coach’s standards. Of course, it also meant piling a mountain of pressure onto himself and declaring a war against his own stamina. Not that he minded. If Miyuki couldn’t carry the team this time, then Eijun would. That’s what a battery does, right?
If only things hadn’t taken an unexpected turn in the middle of the game—one that put Sawamura right in the center of it all.

Summary
Eijun isn’t feeling like himself. Ever since he hit Shirakawa’s helmet in the match against Inashiro, his mental health has just kept spiraling down. Something isn’t right, and he can’t figure out what. His own mind and thoughts are like an enemy, the team feel far away and the support is nowhere to be seen.
During practice one day, he can’t keep up with his panicked thoughts and collapses.
It’s not only the yips fighting him, it’s also his, apparently, second nature. He can’t tell the team, can’t be of any bigger burden than he already is.The worst part is that he needs help, and he don’t feel like he can ask anyone for it, or trust in the kindness that is shown.

First, he must drop hints. Miyuki is pretty observant, so that shouldn’t be hard, right? Then, he must feel out Miyuki’s reactions to all of this. If Miyuki seems receptive, then he’ll go in with the final step: the actual confession. And then, Miyuki will be Eijun’s boyfriend and catch for him whenever he asks because that’s what a good boyfriend does!
