Summary
Greef could do many things to the mind. It could taint it, cut and shred through the flesh of one’s psyche like spiked stems until nothing was left but the Specter of the Dearly departed. The way they laughed, they smelled, the warmth of an arm around a shoulder, the soft press of their lips.
Anakin Skywalker knew that all too well. He always felt so deeply, so intensely. His heart was like a burning star, and his emotions were plain on his sleeves, like the flowers blooming freely on the green plains of Naboo in summer, wiping wildly on the wind—the chosen one never held anything back. There was no middle ground for him.
