Summary
The proxy war between the human-made androids and the machine army of invaders from another world has been going on for thousands of years. Machines and androids fight to kill and take Earth for their unseen masters because it's all they know. This isn't the focus of this story.
Our story follows a human, lost and confused, welcomed and cared for by a group of machines and the strongest android, disillusioned and apathetic, as he goes from mission to mission trying to find something to spark his interest.
YoRHa No.5 Type S, Gojo, finds you, a teacher of human culture and caretaker to a bunch of machines oblivious to the danger you surrounded yourself in.

Your voice trembles, but not from fear. “Is there someone else? Someone you want instead?”
“No.” It comes fast. Vicious. “Don’t ever say that.”
“Then what is it?”
He looks like he’s in agony. “Because I want you. And I shouldn’t. And if you touch me, I’ll stop pretending I don’t. I’ll ruin everything.”

“Caleb,” you say, alarmed. He slides a palm over your scent gland, his fingers sending sparks through the sensitive surface. His pupils are blown wide and he’s breathing eagerly through his nose as he gazes at you.
“It’s okay, Pipsqueak.” His voice is rough and tinged with excited desperation. Your heart rate picks up until you can feel your arteries thrumming in your neck and wrists. “This is normal. This is good.”
It doesn’t feel good, it feels like dying, like the ancient fear you only ever uncover during close calls with Wanderers. “I don’t understand--” you croak, your voice fizzling into a choked groan. “What did you do to me?”
