Summary
Keeping both wings close to his back, Grian scans the surrounding buildings for anything familiar. Storm gales had tossed him around like an autumn leaf. Sheets of rain reduce visibility to nothing. He has no idea where he ended up. Hard to judge the leap to the next building when he can barely see the next building. He presses on. He has to recognize something eventually. No matter that the city spans more area that Grian cares to know.
His talons slip on wet roof in landing his next leap, costing him his footing to tumble him hard into the cramped stairwell house of the building he's on, body screaming in pain where it's not numb from the cold.

Undetermined time later, a soft ding alerts Grian to the nearby elevator door sliding open. Warm light spills into the hall."Ari?" Comes a high, chattery voice, underlaid with cackling laughter.
A shock through Grian's whole body as the realization of just why that door was so familiar bodies him.
This is Vex's building.
Or:
a sudden, violent storm ravages the city, injuring cuteguy and crashing him into vex's lair. until hotguy's available they have to manage by themselves. after, all three spend time in the lair recovering.Series

After a long talk with GenerikB, an old friend of Xisuma's, he takes on the responsibility of a town in a little city called Hermit. Unbeknownst to Xisuma and EX, the live stock on the farm are hybrids that have been left in horrendous conditions. Xisuma has to navigate farm life while getting the hybrids to trust him and to a healthier place.
A monster farmer au inspired by the games Stardew Valley and Cloud Meadow.

Summary
It's a tradition to burn down a Woodland Mansion at every start of a season. Only this time it's not only inhabited by mindless mobs. There is actually an uncorrupted Player Allay there.
Scar and Cub don't really know how to feel about Grian when they help to rescue him. If they'd come just a few weeks later Grian would have become a Vex. And the reminder of what they lost confronts them with feelings they would have liked to forget.
Grian, on the other hand, really just wants to enjoy his newfound freedom and do what Allays are supposed to do - gathering things and causing mischief. Which is hard to do when you’ve been dropped into a foreign world and have no clue where your former crew has ended up. Not to mention the two very intriguing Vex, who give off very mixed signals. Not that Grian is any better at communication.

Summary
"Bring him to me.” The lingering wisps of Joel’s voice circle around Impulse’s thoughts, keeping him on track as he stumbles out of Joel’s base. A task he must complete. Giddiness bubbles inside him.
In his periphery his implants flash messages that Joel has told him to ignore. Which makes sense, Impulse is supposed to be happy, and the messages don't make him happy. They try to drag him out of this eager bliss, which is unforgivable. Without them, he's free to allow joy to roll through him unimpeded.
Free to spread that joy to others.
Impulse deeply craves sharing this ecstasy with Skizz.

Summary
The premise for Double Life was simple: for this season alone, all players would be randomly paired together and would share pain, hunger, and even death with their soulmate. That's how it was supposed to work, at least, but an oversight with the mod configuration led each player to be able to feel even the simplest touch on their soulmate's skin.
In an effort to get their hands on Grian's sugarcane monopoly, Joel and Etho kidnap Scar to exploit this oversight.

Focused as he is on Hotguy, Cub barely notices himself being backed into a corner. Cub’s powers mean that the world holds very few actual corners for him, but- A selfish urge, to have Hotguy’s hands on him, to be slammed against a wall- To make the whole thing real.
A miscalculation. Hotguy does lay hands on him, but not to throw.

Hotguy’s power suppression cuffs. Cub had forgotten them. Hotguy never uses them on Cub.
Hotguy looks almost as startled as Cub does by his own actions. By the cuff on Cub’s wrist, real and solid.
If Cub phases out now, everyone will know. Hotguy will know. For the sake of his powers ruse, Cub has to pretend his powers are properly suppressed by the cuffs.
In a snap decision Cub may never understand about himself, he snatches the other cuff out of Hotguy’s hand, slapping it closed around Hotguy’s wrist with a second decisive click.Or:

He pushes his thumb against Martyn's gumline. Martyn rolls his eyes, but doesn't bite. Maybe just to mess with him, Bdubs hitches the curve of his lip higher. "Huh. You've still got all your spawnling teeth. I don't even see any budding fangs… Hey- you wanna punch me in the face?"
"Yessir, but that's unrelated to the XP gain."
"Oh, you're freakin' hilarious…" Bdubs withdraws his hand, wiping it dry against his leg. Since all of Martyn's friends have been jumpy, wide-eyed sheep with extra evasive sprinkles since they got here, Bdubs cracks the conversation open like a smacked walnut: "Where did you get your Education? Some sort of cult, right?"
Bdubs and Etho wrestle a skin on their server hub’s newest cult escapee. The glowing, hissing Martyn lives in a fishbowl (and/or under Etho’s couch) until he doesn’t.

Summary
It starts so softly, it takes Scar a bit to realize what’s happening.
He settles himself down in the center of their double bed, methodically stripping off his clothes. He can picture Grian holed up in a dirt shack somewhere, or carving out a spot in the side of a mountain, taking a break to pleasure himself as a sort of revenge for the way Scar had treated him earlier. Grian is probably laughing to himself (and Scar loves that mischievous laugh of his) as he strokes himself with a surprisingly heavy hand and—
Oh.
Well, that's new.

Grian is a cheater, which is exceptionally bad in a world where soulmates share each other's bodily pleasures. In retaliation, Scar decides to up the ante a little.
As is often the case with two hyper-competitive, lovesick idiots, they take things a little too far.

Or: Tommy, an avian, doesn't know of life outside the laboratory. It's the only home he's ever had. So when Phil breaks in and takes four abused hybrid kids to a safehouse, he's surprised to see that one of them isn't at all happy to be saved.
